Halcyon is a social Incubator located in my hometown of Washington DC that supports early stage entrepreneurs transform their big ideas into scalable ventures in the real world. Halcyon really interests me because it offers an 18-month fellowship in the nation’s capital where members have access to all of the resources they need to fully launch their own companies. The fellowship provides students with mentorship, access to business consultants, workspaces, and residency so help turn their entrepreneurial ideas into reality. This month, Halcyon Incubator has launched a new program called Opportunity Intensive which is a condensed version of their 18-month fellowship. Although the Incubator was not launched long ago, private investors have begun investing in the project. Additionally, approximately half of the 32 alumni companies of Halcyon have started generating revenue.
